The increasing complexity of surgical procedures means that there are much greater needs for high quality surgical training.  Surgical practice provides skills training for surgeons at all levels. Our aim is to support the teaching, learning and assessment of clinical skills.

The Institute of Surgery and Innovation provides operative courses and surgical skills training for surgical trainees and surgeons. Continuing medical education (e.g. International Conference on Repair, Regeneration and Reconstruction) and advanced technical skills (e.g. Microsurgery courses) are provided for surgeons in practice.

The Institute of Surgery and Innovation has registered participants from Australia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Belgium,  Brazil, Czech, Egypt, Fiji, France, Germany, Greece, Iran, Iraq, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Singapore, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain, Sudan, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and United States of America.

The Fundamentals of Microsurgery Training Course was established with the goal of making microsurgery an integral part of a surgeon's training in various fields and specialties.

AIM

To teach the skills required to perform microvascular, microneural, and microtubular surgeries required in a variety of surgical specialties. The specialties we teach can include:
